Steered by an Academic Advisory Board who serve in both government and private industry, the program disciplines were designed to prepare students to serve in a broad spectrum of first responder and private security roles to meet the ever growing demand for professionals in this field of study.
The Homeland Security and Security Management program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for security planning and disaster preparation/prevention. LIBI’s program also enables students to understand the processes for meeting responsibilities in a manner consistent with the needs of society and the law, social well-being, and individual rights.
Students will acquire necessary analytical tools to ensure objectivity in maintaining a balance between the rights of the individuals and the need of safety and security in today’s society.
