LIBI’s Office Technology with Medical Option prepares graduates to support the operations of the modern medical office. This program focuses on providing in-demand skills for immediate entry into the workforce, while giving students the platform to pursue further education in management and business.
The Medical Office Track aims to familiarize students with the procedures and document production of the modern hospital, doctor’s office, or clinic. The program also provides training in the latest medical terminology and coding for insurance processing and billing.

THE HEALTHCARE FIELD IS EXPERIENCING A PERIOD OF STRONG GROWTH, DUE TO AN AGING POPULATION AND CHANGING PRACTICES BROUGHT ON BY INDUSTRY-WIDE ADOPTION OF NEW TECHNOLOGY. THE U.S. BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS PROJECTS AN 11% INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF AVAILABLE MEDICAL RECORDS AND HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNICIAN JOBS BETWEEN 2018 AND 2028. THIS IS MUCH FASTER THAN AVERAGE JOB GROWTH PROJECTIONS, WHICH IS GOOD NEWS FOR STUDENTS JUST ENTERING THE FIELD.
