Becoming a Skilled Court Reporting Professional
As a Court Reporter, or Court Stenographer, you’ll be responsible for transcribing spoken or recorded speech into written form that will then serve as the official record for court hearings, depositions, and official proceedings. To become a proficient Court Reporter, you’ll train to increase your typing speed and typing accuracy so that you can accurately transcribe vital information.

Certificate in Court Reporting
We also offer a standalone Certificate in Court Reporting. This pathway is ideal for students who aren’t interested in earning an Associate’s Degree and who want to enter the workforce as soon as possible.
Instead of taking classes in Introduction to Business Communications, College English I & II, and Introduction to Psychology, you’ll focus instead on honing your typing and transcriptions skills to achieve the exit speed of 225 words per minute.

Looking to save money on your tuition? The EXCEL at LIBI Scholarship is just one of a handful of scholarships that could help make your transition that much easier.
LIBI will award scholarships aimed at helping qualified students who have a financial need to complete college while limiting student loan debt. The EXCEL at LIBI Scholarship is a tuition credit that will cover any remaining tuition expenses not already covered by other forms of financial aid.
